This is an annual event organised by the Working Together Group where we take around 70 senior citizens on an early evening cruise on the River Thames. The group includes Soroptomists, Rotary Clubs and Age Concern from the Slough, Windsor and Maidenhead area. The senior citizens will come from Age Concern (Windsor), Charteris and Windsor & Eton Day Centres and others known to Slough Rotary.
Operatic Gala
Now in its 27th year this is an annual event where The Rotary Club of Windsor St. George and The Windsor and Eton Operatic Society present a Charity Gala Performance of a well known operetta. The 2009 Gala is taking place on Thursday 29th October, at The Farrer Theatre, Eton College. This years performance, in aid of Thames HospiceCare, is 'Orpheus in the Underworld' and the event will be host to many VIP's and dignitaries. For more details please go to the Upcoming Events page.

Reindeer Parade
This event is one of the highlights of the Christmas season in Windsor. Father Christmas and two adult reindeer accompanied by 4 young reindeer leave the castle via St Alban's street, then go along the High Street past the Guildhall and turn into Peascod Street finally stopping in King Edward Court for photographs. There are a few stops on the way. The Egham Town Band lead the procession. Windsor St. George assist by stewarding the event which is rewarded by the smiles on the faces of the families watching the procession.

Youth Speaks
Rotary International in Great Britain and Ireland has for many years run public speaking competitions for young people. Public speaking is an important life skill.
Each year hundreds of young people take part in Club and Rotary District competitions that culminate in the Regional and RIBI Finals when participants travel from throughout RIBI to take part.
Windsor St. George assist the Rotary Club of Windsor and Eton with our local competition.
Senior Citizens Lunch
This is held in the Post Graduate Centre of Wexham Park Hospital. It is organised by the Working Together Group of local service organisations. Senior Citizens are collected by car and taken to the event where they enjoy a lunch followed by some entertainment and a cup of tea, before they start their return journey home.
Foundation Quiz Night
This annual event usually held in February is our main fundraiser for Rotary's own charity - Rotary Foundation. The Rotary Foundation of RI is a not-for-profit corporation who's mission is to support the efforts of Rotary International in the fulfilment of the Object of Rotary and the achievement of world understanding and peace through humanitarian, educational, and cultural programmes.
Stroke Awareness Day
This is an event which takes place annually in the Windsor Royal Station Complex. Its purpose is to heighten awareness of the danger of high blood pressure and to offer members of the public the opportunity to have their blood pressure checked by qualified health professionals. Every year at least one person has been checked who has needed urgent referral to their GP.
Jazz Concert
Schools' Music Festival
An annual event which offers local schools the opportunity to show what they can do in the field of music. In the past we have had choirs, barber shop singing, jazz bands, big bands, hand bells and steel bands. The emphasis is on children making music together. All funds raised go back to participating schools to use in their music departments.
